EARLY STAGE · LEARNING WITH OPERATORS
New packaging.
Same old image?
Less work keeping Amazon product images current.
Prodo is developing image monitoring for supplement brands. We’re researching how catalog teams verify packaging updates, document discrepancies, and confirm corrections.

Brand-supplied reference
Simulated observation
Is the previous label still intended, or does the listing need an update?

AFTER THE UPLOAD
Submitted is one thing.
Showing up is another.
When your team updates packaging, how do you confirm the intended image is actually live—your own checks, an agency, or a monitoring tool?
We want to understand what already works, and where checking and follow-up still take effort.
- 01
Establish what should be live
Map the intended image to the right product, including when the new packaging applies and whether both versions are allowed.
- 02
Make differences easy to review
Bring the reference, observed image, source, and observation time into a clear comparison.
- 03
Check again after a correction
Record what is observed after the brand or agency updates the listing. Don’t confuse submission with confirmation.
A proposed workflow, not a claim of proven capabilities. Our goal is a trustworthy result with simpler setup and lower total cost.
WHAT USEFUL EVIDENCE COULD LOOK LIKE
A comparison your team
can act on.
Not another unexplained alert. A short record of what was intended, what was observed, and what needs to happen next.
This is a fictional example for discussion—not an audit of a real Amazon listing.
- Intended
- Orange label, version 2.
Previous version allowed through 31 August. - Observed
- Charcoal label, version 1.
Sample observation: 17 September 2026. - Finding
- The illustrated listing image differs from the supplied reference after the stated transition period.
- Next step
- Confirm the product mapping and any exception. If an update is needed, the brand or agency submits it; then recheck.
What would support this finding?
An ASIN-mapped approved asset, its effective dates, the source URL, an observation timestamp, and file hashes. Missing information would be flagged—not treated as a successful check.
Matching an approved image would not establish regulatory compliance or physical product authenticity.
CURRENTLY INTERVIEWING OPERATORS
How does your team
check the last mile?
If you own Amazon listings or product images for a supplement brand—or help manage them at an agency—I’d like to hear how you handle packaging updates.
A short email reply is a great place to start. If useful, we can spend 15 minutes walking through your most recent update. No confidential assets or account access needed.
I’d be happy to share a concise summary of what we learn.
